Beautiful walk from West Stoke carpark through Kingley Vale up to the 'Devils Humps' - two burial mounds thought to contain Viking remains. Beautiful views across Chichester Harbour down to the south coast.

One of the few sandy beaches on this stretch of the south coast - can get extremely busy on sunny weekends!
We like to park at East Wittering and walk along the beach to West Wittering, then round East Head and back (about 7 miles).

Great food pub in the exquisitely pretty South Downs village of Charlton. One of our favourite things to do is park near Goodwood racecourse and walk to Charlton for lunch. Walking back can be a bit of an effort, but the payoff is an incredble view towards the south coast from the top of the Trundle.

Book a tour and tasting, or have dinner in the restaurant overlooking the vines.
We love to walk here from the house - it takes about an hour.

Great gastropub food using locally-sourced ingredients in a pretty little West Sussex village, about 40 minutes’ walk from the house.
Generally pretty quiet. Not sure why as the food is great.
