If you would like to take a dip in the lake Mälaren, walk down to Minnerbergsbadet. It is very close to the apartment. Here you can also make a BBQ or take a picnic. You will find benches and tables next to the lake. There is a pier for easy access into the lake and a small beach.

From Alvik take the metro to Thorildsplan (two stations) turn right when exiting the station and follow the path through the Rålambshovsparken towards the shore of the Mälaren. From Thorildsplan it is a 15 minutes walk to Mälarpaviljongen.

If you do not want to walk too much, take the metro to Fridhemsplan and change to the blue line here towards Kungsträdgården. Exit at Rådhuset and walk from here to the shore of lake Mälaren.
During summer you will find a lot of restaurants here with open terraces for dining outside. The Rörstrandsgatan is closed for traffic during summer. Take the metro to S:t Eriksplan.

Good restaurant with a large terrace directly at the Lake Mälaren. They serve Swedish food here. Our favorite are the Köttbullar the famous Swedish meatballs. You can walk here. You should do a reservation.
