I adore this restaurant - it has been there 50 years, is quaint and different and the food is great. Fabulous roasts at the weekend; v good value pre theatre dinner and lunch menus.

Simple, affordable, clean and sometimes just what you fancy ... in the main, chicken but lots of tasty sides.

Post Office here is a little less busy than usual ... and you pass an excellent fruit and veg man with a small stall in front of Tesco's on the way.

Beautiful Art Gallery on the Thames, full of wonderful works. And it is possible to get the boat from here to Tate Modern ... bliss on a sunny day.
