If you're here in the summer, you get to see the ski resort transform into a sprawling, lift-operated mountain bike park with a lively village. If you're there on the right weekend, you can see the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships and High School Festival.

One of Colorado's most recent additions to wilderness areas, and no doubt you will get great mountain views. Likely less busy than wilderness areas like Eagles Nest and Indian Peaks. If you're here in the summer, you can explore the 17 mile trail system, and you'll probably come across huge clusters of wildflowers in the process.

A great spot for aprés ski margaritas, conveniently on the walk back to the bus stop if you have some time to kill before the next bus comes by. Thanks to COVID, you can take your drinks to go ☺️

The only restaurant at Devil's Thumb that you can eat at if you're not a guest. We went here for Valentine's day this year and I still think about the bread and wagyu beef from their own livestock.
