If you fancy moderate hiking and wish to see breathtaking Edinburgh cityscape, why not hike up to Arthur's seat. This hill is not too far from the Scottish Parliament and Holyrood palace. Expect strong winds at the summit but it is worth it.

If you don't want to buy ticket to visit, just go to the esplanade (castle front) for views across Arthur's seat and then take a walk all the way to Scottish Parliament along the Royal Mile (some say prettiest walk in Europe).
