I know this is a pic of the back kitchen, but this place has THE BEST Mexican food EVER. Like, real birria, tacos gobernadores, sopes, good guacamole... all of it. Never had a bad meal here.

This trail is rated as DIFFICULT on the AllTrails App, and I agree. Start early, bring at least a gallon of water, and a snack. And suncreen! No cell service. Bathrooms at La Quinta Cove Trailhead.

Really fun little walkabout zoo, has a miniature train exhibit, desert gardens, lots of animals, and they do a lot of conservation work in the area. When summer hits, they do desert lights at night.
