-Adrian Tropical Restaurant: here you can enjoy their margaritas, smoothies, Dominican and continental dishes - it is opposite on the boardwalk on the next block East
-There is Playa Guibia to enjoy an outdoor gym, seaviews and boardwalk promenades, pizzas and ice creams - before restaurant; also East
-The historic Zona Colonial is very close with museums and restaurants and many firsts, like the first Cathedral of the New World - about 5 blocks East
-The National Palace in neoclassical style that houses the executive branch of government
-On one side there is Hotel Catalonia, old Hilton with all its services for tourists, other brand hotels as well like Renaissance Jaragua, Crowne Plaza, Sheraton, Marriott
-National, Sirena, La Cadena are stores nearby with directions on Google Maps
-Ubers are relatively cheap and can also take you anywhere in the city
-It is a good idea to get a tourist guide book like Lonely Planet or similar, and to also look at tour offerings for Santo Domingo on Expedia.com.
