This historic park, established by none other than the famous Walt Whitman, is a part of Civil War history! Always a great place to walk, to people watch, you can climb up the top of the stairs and have a sweet glimpse of Manhattan. Before 9 am it is off leash for the four legged friends!
On most weekend nights there is some kind of event here that is worth checking out!

You'll love the building Trader Joe's is in! It is right off of the Subway (Q/B/R) so you can easily swing by if you are coming back from Manhattan. In the building on the same floor as Trader Joe's you'll find a food court with incredible local choices. So convenient! Also in the building is a movie theater, Target, and other shops.

This Wine Shop is a great place to stop by for a bottle of something delicious. The owner, Brian, is generally there and great to chat with. You'll find their less expensive bottles right by the door, on the left side, as soon as you enter.
