Fun night down at the marina - a scrumptious seafood platter, craft beer and at 8pm on Saturdays enjoy the live music.

Parks & Nature

from the barn follow the track down the paddock to the trail which goes through native bush, there are alot of stairs going up and down - great for your fitness. follow the trail to the left and you'll end up at the beach. along the trail the native trees have name signs, and you'll probably see tuis, kingfishers and parakeets.

Catch the ferry from Auckland city over to this dormant volcano. take water and a hat because of the volcanic rock it can get very hot. there is a good track to the top of the volcano where you get amazing views back to the city.

big supermarket where you can buy most things. Nz is phasing out plastic bags so you need to take the cloth shopping bags (we have a couple at the front door for your use)

Volunteers dress-up in period costume and set about performing the daily chores and activities of early Howick settlers. This is a good insight into life in Howick in the mid-late 1800's.

Arts & Culture

Waiheke is great for a weekend getaway but also a lovely day trip. You take the car over from from Half moon Bay, if you dont take the car its a 25 minute walk on the island to the bus stop, or catch the ferry from Auckland city so you can connect to the local buses. There are fabulous wineries, restaurants, white sandy beaches and art galleries.
