Blue Ridge is 30 miles from the cabin and has some outstanding restaurants, shops, family activities, and sites that are sure to give you the feel of North GA. The drive is about 35-45 minutes, and you can make a whole day in this neat little town.

Woodstove
a. Put a thick layer of balled-up/twisted newspaper across the bottom of the
woodstove.
b. On top of the thick layer of newspaper, make a couple of rows of good kindling.
You can use broken branches and limbs, "starter sticks" from the store, or just
take some of your firewood and carefully whack off small chunks with a
manageable hatchet or a small axe. We like to put it in a criss-cross pattern to
catch fire most effectively. Light the newspapers and kindling, and when the
kindling catches fire go to the next step. Good, dry kindling is key to starting
a fire!!!
