Cannon Beach’s haystack rock formation always ends up in pictures of the Pacific Ocean! Go check it out yourself and see why. A 1.5 hour drive through the mountain passes to the west will get you there.

Hood River is a cute little town at the foothills of Mt. Hood and situated right along the banks of the Columbia river. Get there in about an hour, or take a bit longer and stop at Multnomah Falls on the way!

Great local bar with beer, wine, and cocktails on tap—not to mention their themed cocktail menu! Grab pizza from Atlas next door or a hot dog from their own menu and enjoy their spacious indoors/outdoors.
