Bacalar, MX is located about 250KM south of Akumal in the southern part of the Yucatan Peninsula. It is about a 3 hour drive that takes you through a part of the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. Make sure to have a full tank of gas before you set off on our adventure as there are not many places to stop along the way.

Food scene
Confession is that this is the only place we ate at in Bacalar...however, we took a chance on a Google review and the reviews don't do it justice. The view of the lagoon, the fresh Latin fusion food, the drinks, the staff and atmosphere.
Highly recommend!
