Voted ‘Best Neighborhood Grocery’ by the Austin Chronicle’s Readers Poll for eight years, most recently in 2015. I love the curry soup here! The deli is fantastic. The food is fresh, the staff is mostly friendly, in their millennial way.
I also love their mission: 'to serve a broad range of people by providing them goods and services, using efficient methods that avoid manipulation of the consumers, and minimize exploitation of the producers or damage to the environment. The primary focus for this mission is supplying high-quality food and non-doctrinaire information about food to people in Austin, Texas.'

The lakes are all full as of this writing (2016) -- for the first time in 50 years. The parks in the Western district region are great places to camp, boat and spend time with family. Local to some award-winning barbeque like Opie's, and It's All Good BBQ. I used to work at this particular park, and it's lovely.
