Located right next to the Portland Rose Garden, this beautiful space encompasses 12 acres with eight separate garden styles, and includes an authentic Japanese Tea House, meandering streams, intimate walkways, and a spectacular view of Mt. Hood. And yes, you did see it on Top Chef (Ep. 10, Season 18).
It's easy to visit both the Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden, making a day of the beautiful outdoors.

2219 SE Lincoln StBuilt atop a volcano, this sprawling 191 acre park features beautiful walking/hiking trails, open-air reservoirs, and spectacular views. It’s not uncommon to stumble across a free concert, yoga class, or dance party!
My personal favorite bridge in town crosses this park. You can take in the gorgeous structure, tiptoe along the water, or lounge in the grass. A great spot to have a picnic! Plus, they host an amazing jazz festival every year...

The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is a favorite place to visit. It contains three auditoriums, including a large-screen theatre, planetarium, and exhibition halls with a variety of hands-on permanent exhibits focused on natural sciences, industry, and technology. With regular star parties, science pubs, and OMSI After Dark 21+ parties, it’s a great place for all ages!

This space exists not only to share the creators interpretation of chocolate but also as a platform to explore its changing culinary culture.

Ok, so Pizzaiolo Craig Melillo makes his own sourdough crust from a PNW grain that is slow-fermented... and he makes his own cheese! Gracie’s, is a little pizzeria in St. Johns, so if you're checking out Cathedral Park, this is a great sport to grab a bite.
They also have some house-made ice creams in creative flavors. They've got outdoor seating on the patio!

Sunblossom Farm (0.3 miles) - a sustainable, bee-friendly micro flower farm hosting workshops and u-pick flower days. A sweet little gem of a farm in the neighborhood!

The Kennedy School (1.2 miles from the studio) - an amazing piece of Portland history, this former schoolhouse has been renovated into a hotel with a restaurant, multiple small bars, a brewery, a movie theater (with couches), and an outdoor hot soaking pool!
Aside from enjoying the soaking pool (especially on a rainy day), I like to grab a root beer from the movie theater and explore the property.
