Take a spin around the Ocean Drive and you'll never forget it. If you're lucky maybe the waves will be crashing up against the sea wall. Stop for a spell and check out Brenton Point Park, a big kite flying spot. Beautiful views, a perfect Sunday drive. My uncle likes to catch littlenecks out here in the summer months.

Forty Steps is one of the gems of the cliff walk, and is an easy stroll from the house. When I was a kid these stairs were MADE OF WOOD if you can believe that.

Billionaire Tobacco heiress Doris Duke founded the Newport Restoration Foundation and continues to keep so many historic houses in our city in good repair. The grounds of Rough Point feel otherworldly, I don't know how to explain it. Stop by & say hi to the two topiary camels, Baby & Princess who were at one point ACTUAL CAMELS. I'm not kidding. Take the tour, it's so worth it.

Feel like nerding out? This is the oldest library still housed & operating in its original building. It was established in 1747. Now that's old. Currently there is a gigantic neon yellow rocking chair on the premises.

Beautiful view of the Newport Bridge from here, and there's a tiny little water access spot (Blue Rocks). This neighborhood is nice to stroll around in, a lot of historic houses here. Good sea glass spot.
