Downtown Decatur is full of restaurants and quant local and chain stores. During the wkend, the square is a lovely hang out for the city.
Instead of paying for street parking, park at the library or take the Marta in. Marta stops at the square.

Parking: if it’s the morning or wk day, park next to the mountain at the wildlife preserve. If it’s the wkend, park at the visitors center with two parking lots.
Arabia mt is more about seeing the stunning views than about altitude. Lol. Keep that in mind.
Also connected to Arabia mt is The Path. The Path is more than 40miles of a paved path through woods with more amazing sights to see, mt biking trails, parks, Panola Mt, fishing, and more.
