Kapani, maybe the oldest open public market of Thessaloniki, is conventionally located in the heart of the traditional city,between Aristotelous Square, the port, and the Ladadika neighborhood of restaurants and live music venues.
At Kapani market you will find fresh produce, spices, olives, fish, and meat, some traditional coffee shops, bakeries, sweets and loukoumi shops, tavernas, meze (small plates) and ouzeri restaurants, clothes and more. Much of the market is on pedestrian streets.

One of locals favor and a good value for the money spent.

One of the oldest of the city. Excellent variety of traditional sweets [siropiasta] with emphasis to these made with local [ from kerkini lake] buffalo milk. The traditional ice cream and its Spanish-cheese pies are also a must.

The tsoureki lovers favorite place . Famous for the wonderful smells and its great variety of different types of tsoureki. A little bit expensive but worth trying it.
