This hike was voted USA Today's Best National Park Hike in 2015 for good reason. It is a relatively easy 2.0-mile hike to Diamond Point where you will find breathtaking views of the New River.

Summersville lake is located approximately 30 minutes from Fayetteville. It is a perfect way to spend a day. Pick your favorite lake day activity. My personal favorite is SUP.

It is a narrow road, in the heart of the New River Gorge, that winds its way along cliffs, down to the river. If you slow down, you can get a pretty good view of the New River Gorge Bridge as you meander down the mountain. National Park Service has even created an audio tour for the drive.
