Historic market town just 5 minutes drive. A good selection of boutique shops, coffee shops and pubs. The Signal box at the railway crossing was used at the inspiration for the Hornby model railway signal boxes!!

Small little zoo housing lizards, reptiles and birds. Better inside than it looks from outside and new owners are adding more enclosures and animals. A visit here lasts about an hour.

People travel for miles to visit Gates. A huge garden centre with a large restaurant that do great breakfasts, lunches and afternoon tea. There is also a really big farm shop selling a variety of products. Well worth a visit.
