Has a great happy hour every day of the week. If you go during happy hour you can try almost everything on the menu on the cheap! The food tastes great, and there's a full bar for drinks. Be warned, this can be a popular spot at certain times and during those times they encourage you to leave as soon as you're done eating.

This is our go-to place for Sunday brunch, but it also has great lunch and dinner, a coffee bar and a full bar. It's decorated with umbrellas on the ceiling and has a true Portland feel to it.

Washington Park has both the zoo, which can be fun for both kids and adults, and the Rose Test Garden which has more roses than I've ever seen in one place, and the summer is the best time to go! The Garden can also offer be some amazing views of the city on non-cloudy days.

This is where you can catch bus #12 into downtown Portland. During the day it comes about every 15 minutes and is a 1/2 mile walk from our house
