The Safari Park in Escondido is a sister park to the SD ZOO. It offers a more vast and open zoo concept. Very beautiful and fun but we actually prefer the SD ZOO over safari park due to the ease of seeing animals. Both are known for being gems, so whichever you choose to visit won't disappoint!

The lagoon is SO cool! You can rent all sorts of water activities - paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, jet ski's, paddle boats and more! Its a place with lots of friendly families and a nice switch up from the beach. Whenever we go here we feel like we are 12 years old and at summer camp, its nostalgic and so fun!

Great family beach on one side, fun and active marina on the other.
There is even a beach playground there for kids and bathrooms!
