Mosquito Creek trails is gorgeous and a cool retreat on a hot day. It's a great area for a walk or a run. Please note that part of the trails are closed. The trail leads up to the beautiful new Recreation Centre. Ask me how to best access the trail.

A short drive to the base and the gondola will show you a breathtaking view of Vancouver. At the top there are many activities such as bird and lumberjack shows. Fantastic restaurants at the top as well from posh to casual.

At the base of Grouse Mt is the famous Grouse Grind. This is nature's stairmaster and will give you about an hour's excellent work out. Don't worry: there are beers and nachos at the top as a reward!

Hikes, biking, Whistler village, lots of fun for families, gondola rides and amazing places to eat and whet your whistle. About 1.5 hour drive on the scenic world famous Sea to Sky Highway. Stunning drive! Stop at Porteau Cove and Squamish on your way.

Great place to spend a day. New green house cubicles and firepits for outdoor dining. Big green space, lovely beach on the ocean, pond, sea wall walk, etc.

Less touristy and free than Capilano, but a different experience. Both are cool, but I prefer Lynn Valley. Wonder hikes and has an eco centre.

Neighbourhoods
Edgemont Village is a cute neighbourhood within walking distance. It's great for a meal and has several cafes. Bjorn Bar has amazing desserts and there are some better than average pizza restaurants (Buffala and Nicle).

This neighbour hood is very up and coming. Not the industrial area it used to be. Lots of history. Walk along the water, visit Lonsdale Quay. Too many amazing places to eat and drink.

West Vancouver is an affluent city just west of North Vancouver. Lovely parks, beaches and restaurants along Marine Drive.

5 minute walk from here on other side of the highway. Just walk north on westview. It's got all your shopping needs for your stay. Great sushi restaurant, but honestly you can't go wrong with any sushi place if you walk along Lonsdale. Tons of sushi and other restaurants along Lonsdale (walk east along 23rd to hit Lonsdale)
