Phoenicia is a great little town to check out on the way to the ski mountains of Hunter, Windham and Belleayre (all ~45-50 minutes away). The drive is beautiful and there are plenty of places to stop and grab a bite.

Stone Ridge is great for pick your own orchards, and High Falls nearby has some excellent restaurant options. Don’t miss the beautiful historic homes along the drive as well as the farms, you might see cows.

Kerhonkson also has great pick your own orchards and is home of the world’s largest garden gnome (Gnome Chomsky) at Kelder’s Farm which is open in summer and amazing for kids. Accord nearby has several cool spots for folks who are looking for a Brooklyn vibe out in the country.
