I’ve added places here that are all within a fifteen minute walk from our house, with a few favourites that are a little farther afield.
One of the best restaurants in town. Creative dishes and great atmosphere inside. It used to be walk-in, but I think they have switched to reservations and you will need to book well in advance.

Excellent food. The only place in town I’ve ever found halibut cheeks on the menu. If you’ve never had them, they are to die for. Seasonal, so they may not have them all the time.

Great cocktails and light fare. Looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but cozy inside and staff are great.

You can borrow bikes and other wheeled things like roller blades and scooters. In the winter this becomes a skating oval and you can borrow skates for free.
