Great downtown area that is big enough to feel like a city but never too overwhelming. One of the many things we love about Boise!

Sightseeing

Bogus Basin is a great local mountain perfect for a day or even half day trip. It is a windy and scenic 16 mile drive from the house that is definitely worth checking out. Ski, tube, x-country ski in the winter. Hike, bike, and lots of kids activities in the summer. Check out their website for hours and rental info: bogusbasin.org

Harrison Boulevard was Boise's first planned community. It is a stately, tree-lined street with homes built mostly between 1901 and 1942. Head east down Hill Road and turn right on Harrison to drive the one mile stretch which is also perfect for your morning run or walk!

This is peaceful stroll through along a paved pathway with some nicely landscaped areas, ponds, and wildlife. Directly across the street from the larger Anne Morrison park, you can easily walk the full loop in around an hour.
