This is just at the end of the road for awesome coffee and the best pastries you’ll find this side of the channel (which are also the size of your head and made locally!) The owners live on Pevensey Road and are very lovely.

This is a MUST SEE in St Leonards and is absolutely legendary. Be prepared to queue in peak season. You can even book a little beach hut to have your lunch in. Often live music here and you can sit and eat on the beach.

Brilliant place for food - there are several different mini-food outlets, for amazing burgers and hot dogs, tacos, Japanese food and thai food. There's also a brewery! And it's kid friendly.

Full of quaint little shops, beautiful restaurants and bars and you'll have great fun around the medieval streets. Also in the Old Town, you'll find Rock a Nore where you can visit the Fisherman's Net Huts and buy fish straight off the boat!

Lovely sandy beach near Rye - it's about a 40min drive away and it tends to be VERY windy!!!

Perfect princess-castle about a 25min drive from the flat. Great for kids to stomp around and you can get a great lunch at the Royal Oak which is opposite. National Trust members get free entry.

An amusement park with lots of rides on the park. You can buy tokens to go on the rides. Everything you want by the seaside. Nearby there are also swan pedalos and miniature golf.

Playground for the children. Very lovely views and great for a picnic. Can sometimes smell a little 'herbal' but it's a very friendly area.
