We would recommend a lazy afternoon wandering around the narrow streets and not just the main shopping streets. There are other delights off the beaten track with some amazing architecture and character. The shops are renowned for their individuality and quirkiness. We recommended grabbing a coffee and a cake from Judge's bakery and sitting in the memorial garden opposite or the church garden.

We would recommend a lazy afternoon wandering around the narrow streets and not just the main shopping streets. There are other delights off the beaten track with some amazing architecture and character. The shops are renowned for their individuality and quirkiness. We recommended grabbing a coffee and a cake from Judge's bakery and sitting in the memorial garden opposite or the church garden.
Lots going on here - good food stalls and big live music scene in the summer.

Beautifully crafted and landscaped. It is Hasting's largest park at 109 acres. It is a linear space that stretches 2.5 miles from the new town. There is something for everyone here including a cafe, sports with tennis courts and putting, multi-use games area, playgrounds, a pavilion and fishing. There are often events on here and it is great for dog walking.

An independent charitable museum in the old town Rock a Nore district that has artifacts from many ships wrecked in the Channel. Some very historical wreck pieces dating right back to 17th century. Free entry and another great visit for kids with interactive activities.

Largest underground BMX and skate park in the world. Good for beginners and experts alike. Spectators can watch for free and entry prices for BMX'ers and skate boarders is very reasonable.

Great pub, with guest ales and good pub grub. Live music is on often and a real treat every Thursday evening is to visit and hear the mellifluous sounds of the local sea shanty chorus / choir.

An added bonus is you can take your own booze and they charge a modest corkage per person and not by the bottle. They do a fantastic brunch. You will have to book for the evening and it is only open toward the end of the week and on weekends. They are dog friendly too.
