Visiting the stunning Kapiti Coast is a must. Just a few minutes by car or 25 minutes walking, the Waikanae beach has beautiful views of Kapiti Island and safe swimming.

The Waikanae river walk is superb. To start either walk to the river (10 mins) or drive (2 mins). Head west to reach beach in 20 minutes or east towards State Highway 1 and Waikanae village in the same time. The walk is circular so many variations and a few bridges make this walk a must.
