The best places to look for shells are Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach at the Gulf Island National Seashore. While you're in Pensacola Beach check out Fort Pickens National Park and walk around the fort ruins.

It is very important to check which flag is flying every time you go to the beach! Look to the west (right) to see the flag pole. A DOUBLE RED FLAG means the water is closed. NO SWIMMING in the gulf. I can’t express the importance of following this rule. It will save your life & others!
