In london, all the public museums are free (except temporary exhibitions). A great place to go with kids is the natural history museum. Next door to albert and victoria museum. Near south Kensington. This is a very French neighbourhood and every bakery is good (ex: GAIL'S near the tube station)

If you can, I would advise booking tickets for a musical. Billy Elliot or Matilda are great for kids (and adults!)

Entertainment & Activities

Another great place with kids is Winter of Wonderland in Hyde Park. Not far from St James Park and Buckingham Palace . This is a Xmas fair. There is also a ice rink but you need to book online. There are plenty of temporary ice rinks around London in the winter. The closest from my flat is is Broadagte circle. Behind liverpool Street station

Getting Around

- on Sunday there is Colombia flower market near hoxton - have brunch and walk around Shoreditch and its art gallery. Go south to Brick Lane. Mix of hippster food markets - walk north to Shoreditch park. Keep walking north to regent Canal. Lovely walks along the Canal. If you walk west, you can go to Angel, Kings Cross. All the way up to Camden Town and its market. If you walk east, you can go all the way to Victoria Park. You can stop in Broadway market on Saturdays. And continue walking to London Fields. Along the canal, you have plenty of pubs and restaurants. On the west side: the narrow boat pub (they have food there). On East side: arepa and co (Venezuelan) + proud east (British)
