My favorite place in all of Florida! Rent a kayak for an all day adventure from Weeki Rent from the state park- make reservation online and float down the river for two hours, stopping at little beaches along the way for a swim. Then they shuttle you back upstream to the state park/ where you parked! Awesome and easy. Crystal clear spring water, 73 degrees yaear round. You will see manatees depending on the season.

Beautiful Florida wilderness! Hike on a rope-suspended bridge high up into the canopy of trees and reach the tall observation tower with panorama views of the entire area. Gorgeous... and very unique place. Myakka River is full of alligators, so enjoy cautiously!

Beautiful architecture located right on the Bay. Even if you do not enjoy Salvador Dali's art, I would highly recommend walking around, gabbing a coffee at the coffee shop and enjoying the museum garden.

The best Cuban food around! Great pressed sandwiches, rice and beans, Soda -frescas and Smoothie bar. A local super-favorite there is always a line and for a good reason.
