The historic town of Perth is so charming! Loads of outdoor patio eateries, homemade chocolate, pies, and baked goods. Walk along the board walk at the Tay Basin or rent a canoe and for a water-based outing at Perth Outfitters. Loads to do in town. Enjoy the fresh air, local shops, and heritage buildings of downtown.

Walk along the board walk at the Tay Basin or rent a canoe and for a water-based outing at Perth Outfitters. Loads to do in town. Enjoy the fresh air, local shops, and heritage buildings of downtown.
A quieter town but there are things to seek out, and the chip stand is excellent! Go there via the tiny village of FallBrook, if you like a meandering drive, stop in Lanark for some fresh roadside chips, eat at the park-in river bank nearby, then come back home Balderson to grab ice cream and home-made cheese at the old Balderson Cheese Factory. While there, check out the beautiful Amish Furniture shop! This is a regular 'local' thing to do on a Summer afternoon when we need a break from the heat. :-)
Lanark
A quieter town but there are things to seek out, and the chip stand is excellent! Our guests really enjoy the trails here, especially Eagle's Nest Hike. The view at the top of the mountain is awesome! It's about an hour drive from us. You go through Lanark so grab some fresh roadside french fries on your way!
