While it’s an hour away it’s worth the trip! Westwind Orchard is the only organic orchard in Upstate NY. Both owners are originally from Italy. They also have an amazing pizza from their wood oven. Hours change seasonally

Such a beautiful ride through the twisting mountains. We do this trip almost every weekend on our motorcycle. Along the way you will find a couple of places to stop and eat. Best time of year is the fall. Keep your eyes up (those that are not driving) as you are bound to see an bald eagle or two

The Hawks Nest

Best time of year is the fall. Keep your eyes up (those that are not driving) as you are bound to see an bald eagle or two
Now this is great fun in the summer. You can rent a raft or canoes and take a nice lazy trip down the river through Hawks Nest. There are a few low grade rapids. Bring a cooler with food and drinks and you will have the best afternoon! The tour company has a bus that will return you back up river
