Here, visitors will find examples of Pre Colombian ceramics, and an extensive museum rich with objects of religious art. You also have nice place to eat and drink at the square.

The palace is a wonderful example of XVIII century architecture; where is a museum these days there used to be a prison were infidels were tortured.
The Castle or Fort of San Felipe is just outside of the walled city of Cartagena. It is one of the most popular and interesting attraction in the city. You should take a taxi or a city tour to get there from the hotels or the walled city. The castle is the typical Colonial Spanish Fortress construction is very big in comparison with must of the other castles around the Caribbean, South America and San Augustin Florida.

You should take a taxi or a city tour to get there from the hotels or the walled city. This is a small but interesting modern art museum including some of the work - both paintings and sculpture - of one of Cartagena's most famous 20th century artists Enrique Grau. it's worth visiting just for his work alone, particularly his work called "Panoramica de Cartagena"

This is a small museum but full of history. The texts or descriptions are in Spanish and English so if one does not have a guide one can still see and understand the history. The museum preserves what is left of native culture not taken by the Spanish. Picture taking was allowed.The museum is mostly for the Zenu tribal collection. Not as large as the main museum in Bogota, but just as impressive and educational. Worth a visit during the peak heat of the day. I highly recommend it for content and layout.

This is a tipical local cuisine were you can eat very nice at reasonable prices. teh aservice and the decoration is very nice so you will have a nice lch or dinner. the menu is very assorted and they also have good desserts. This restaurant is an institution in Cartagena, and locals speak fondly of it. The service is warm and friendly, as well as prompt; but not rushed.

This is your typical Hard Rock but was a nice get away and enjoyed spending some time with American friends in a familiar setting.

Like the name says it, this is the place where the ships that were coming to Cartagena were going through the customs. Pretty plaza with some nice architecture (mayor of the city sits on this plaza) and Christopher Columbus monument. Also, you will find a tourist information office here. They were very helpful and recommended a free tour of Cartagena.
