Being an aviation geek, I love this place. Great exhibits. You can also book a ride on one of a few amazing planes. We took the C47 ride. We definitely recommend doing the first ride of the day. They say to arrive an hour before your flight. We did and got the whole museum to ourselves.

Beautiful day trip. Lots to see. We recommend yu use the south entrance, especially during peak periods, like weekends. Take Ramon to I10 East to Cottonwood Springs Rd. Cottonwood will take you into the park. This can save you about an hour or more wait using the main entrance.
The tram takes you 8,500 feet above sea level. The sights are amazing. 50 miles of hiking trails and a very good restaurant along with with a cute cafe. It's cold up there so bring a jacket.

Take a quick 45 minute hike to some beautiful waterfalls. When you get on the main trail, you will see a fork in the trail. Take the on on the left, it's a shorter hike.

Best bagels in town. Asiago bagel is soooooooooooo good! Fresh bread and sandwiches. They are open until they run out of bagels. Get there early. They are closed on Tuesdays.

Great sushi restaurant. The prices are great. The sashimi combo is awesome. The pieces are huge. The sweet shrimp is so good, they even fry the heads for you (David calls it Japanese french fries). They don't have a full bar but they do have some amazing sake and beers. The Mio sparkling sake is my favorite.
