This is a library, but it's also a cultural space with events running all the time, there's a cafe on the ground floor and spaces to read or do your emails. It's also a nice spot near the water.

One of the oldest original buildings in the area this is a large pub with good beer and food. Also has a good beer garden. Wednesday is BBQ Ribs night a full rack with chips or 2 half racks with chips

Excellent traditional pub with great real ales and pub food. Has a terrace overlooking the river and a restaurant on the 1st floor. (20mins walk through Southwark park)

Old-fashioned but traditional pub on the river. Mainly locals go here. Good prices as it's a Samuel Smith pub which means it only serves drinks made in the Sam Smith's brewery in Yorkshire, but luckily that beer is really good. Does some cheap simple food as well.
