Egton Bridge is a picturesque village, within the North York Moors National Park on the River Esk. It is nestled between Grosmont and Glaisdale and just six miles from Whitby.
At Mallyan Spout the deep sides of the ravine have been cut by the flowing water of West Beck which has eroded its path through the sandstone . The sides of the ravine are about 70 feet high and nearly almost vertical. It is at its most spectacular after rain but the rocks can be dangerous after rain so take care under foot.
