The airport lounge was beacon for seasoned pilots and heavy hitting musicians boasting continuous live music, cold martinis and dancing under the stars. It's been rehabbed into what it is today - catch a seat at the bar and watch the sunset with a cocktail and burger.

One of the most beautiful National Parks in the United States. We recommend entering at the JT National Park entrance and exiting at the 29 Palms entrance, to see a full view of the park. Stop for hikes and picnics along the way.

Before a chunk of the rock broke off mysteriously, this was the largest free-standing boulder in the world. The history behind this rock is fascinating. Bumpy road to arrive, but can be accessed in most 2-wheel drive vehicles.

Our favorite hike in the Hi-Desert. There are several trails here, but we prefer the 6.5 mile hike that loops around from the main entry point. Bring water!

Rogers, who is a distinguished artist, exhibits his work internationally with his larger Earthworks sculptures found in numerous private and public collections across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, the United States, and Australia.

Local Flamingo Heights hiking area that rivals the national park (with no crowds). Accessible within 5 minutes from our home - either via the main entrance at the corner of Hondo and Kickapoo Trail, or via the back entrance closer to Casa Flamingo (ask us for directions).
