Can feel a little pricey but well worth a visit to experience the views and the tunnel under the moat back to the street. Get your friends to stand by the drain on the corner of N Castle St and the Scores and you can shout up at them!

Run along like Chariots of Fire or walk when the tide is out and the white horses are rolling in. Just beautiful.

The golfing mecca that every golf fan has to visit. Wander round the huge shop, explore all the nooks and crannies and speak to the knowledgeable staff. Waggling clubs is an integral part of the game!

The museum is ok if you like old golf stuff, but I like to use the Niblick Brasserie upstairs for good quality breakfast or lunch. Fantastics views down the West Sands too.

If you want a quick breakfast roll, sandwich or snack before your game of golf then Munch is the place and not far from Argyle Street flat.

Park & Walk
St Andrews is a small town and the best (and quickest) way to get around it is on foot. It means you can stop for a beer too! There are lots of small lanes between the 3 main streets to explore. There is free parking near both my flats, but check before you leave the car for your break. If you are playing golf it is best to drive and there is free parking at the golf courses.

It's Scotland!
Bring a bit of everything as you are by the sea and it's Scotland! On a summer's day, especially out of the wind, it can be hot. On other days if the wind's from the wrong direction it can feel chilly so bring a layer to keep warm. And shoes you don't mind about for rock pooling at low tide!
