A mall constructed out of shipping containers - After the earthquakes in 2010 and 2011, most of the buildings in the city fell. As there were no places for retailers, shipping containers were pulled in to be used as retail outlets. They are a reflection of our ingenuity and a sign of the times.

The Cathedral used to be a symbol of Christchurch. After the earthquakes, it was significantly damaged and can still be viewed at this state as we decide on the future of the Cathedral.
