Marwell Zoo is around about 30 minutes drive away and is a great day out. You can easily spend a whole day visiting the animals, exploring the parks and riding the train.

Moors Valley is a great place for families. Entry is free - you just pay for parking. They have great play areas for all ages, Go Ape for the older family members, a train ride and beautiful walks around the lakes, as well as picnic spots and a restaurant.

The dockyards at Portsmouth are a fantastic place to learn about and explore historical ships, with hands on activities, making it a great day out for all the family. As children we spent many happy hours running about the HMS Victory!
