Tampa Riverwalk is a 2.6-mile-long open space and pedestrian trail development along the Hillsborough River in Tampa, Florida. The downtown Tampa portion runs alongside the Tampa Arts District and allows access to Curtis Hixon Park, MacDill Park, Tampa Museum of Art, Glazer Children's Museum, Rivergate Tower, and adjacent atrium containing the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. The Riverwalk extends along most of the downtown Tampa waterfront from near the Channelside District west to the Tampa Convention Center and north up the east bank of the Hillsborough River to Water Works Park in Tampa Heights, forming a continuous path connecting multiple parks, attractions, public spaces, and hotels. According to the city, the purpose of the Riverwalk is to "enhance the image of Tampa as a beautiful and unique destination" and highlight Tampa's waterfront.
The 12’ wide promenade passes through numerous parks, museums, restaurants, water sports venues, theaters, marinas, and family friendly activities and events. Walk the entire span of Downtown Tampa without worrying about crossing roads or dealing with traffic. A 20 minute walk from the house.

Technically, this is not a museum. It's actually an active train station -- a stop on the Silver Meteor daily Amtrak service between New York and Miami. The Beaux Arts-style station was built in 1912, a watershed year for some of downtown's most prominent historic buildings. Inside, the building is a monument to the days when trains dominated long-distance travel. Every May, the station goes all out for National Train Day, hosting model railroaders and fans of all things railroad for a day of collective train geekery. A donation will support the maintenance of this member of the National Register of Historic Places.
