It's a bit of a walk to get to this small park, but worth stopping by if you are up that way as it is quite a nice viewpoint.

The huge stage of a troll under the Fremont bridge is worth seeing if you're in that area. He's so huge he's gripping a real Volkswagen Beetle in one hand!

Though we've not yet been to Bauhaus in Ballard, we've visited the one in the Capital Hill neighborhood many times and love their coffee! If you like it strong, this is your spot!

While this park isn't really within easy walking distance of the apartment it is still pretty close by. If you can get there on your visit please do! Discovery is the most amazing in-city park ever. It's huge and full of wooded hiking trails as well as bluffs, gorgeous views, beach access and a lighthouse. There is also a Native American cultural center and art.
