Old Town Bars
Here are a few of our favorite drinking establishments in our neighborhood where you can find some fun. As locals we like to drop in and belly up and are always wanting to hear live music.... and these are the places we like to go. They are not "Stuffy Places"
Rusty Spur historic saloon offering live country music . It's a cowboy bar to rub elbows with the locals and meet new friends from all over. Cold beer, dance a little, and it's always a fun time! Located at 7245 East Main -house band starts at 8 pm. Sunday afternoon music. Don't miss this stop... walking distance from Giants stadium and our house. It's an experience!! Scottsdale oldest bar, and it used to be a bank- cozy fit when there is a crowd, and lots to look at!

Casual, walking distance from the house, with large outdoor patio and good happy hour ( order the fundido and the Steve-a-rita margarita ). The restaurant food is authentic and very tasty

Sunday they have a Bloody Mary bar that provides everything you can think of that you want in your drink. Outdoor patio over looks the greenbelt disc golf park. One patio for smokers , one for nonsmokers! Good Bar food.
Good for larger groups.

In the part of old town near the Fashion Square. Good stop after a day of shopping. Order the Guacamole, it is made at the table.. Not as commercial as Olive and Ivy across the canal.

Or drive down to the bridge and park area to rent bikes, boats, paddle boards, kayaks, beach volleyball ,or run or walk along the 2 mile long lake.
It is near ASU campus and Mill street has loads of bars and restaurants. The Campus is beautiful, and Frank Lloyd Wright built Greater Gammage , a theatre near campus.

Frank Lloyd Wrights winter home built and maintained by him and his apprentices . Full of interesting facts and one of the most personal of the architect's creations. I became a fan after going on this tour just this year...worth the cost of the tour.
