Simply stunning. You can day trip (Fitzroy Flyer) or stay on the island in the hotel or camping grounds. Incredible beach, super cute jetty, swimming and snorkelling and great hiking. Love love love Fitzroy!

Kuranda is geared up for tourists, and everything shuts when the last train leaves, but the markets are awesome, plus some GREAT places to eat.
