This beach is adjacent to Fort Tilden, one of thee most excellent beaches around. If you feel so inclined to go, just head to Bedford and N. 7th street (right outside the Bedford L) and hitch a ride with a van line that will take you straight to the beach for $6.

Brooklyn's Central Park. This park was designed by the same person who designed Central Park, and he famously admitted he preferred Prospect Park. There are so many things to check out in this park, the botanical gardens, a farmers market, live events--just to name a few.
