You will not see a better example of a grand Victorian hotel with its original features as well preserved anywhere in London. It also has a traditional pub quiz on Mondays, a Poker night on Wednesdays, and sometimes there's live music. A good selection of beers - ask to taste first, and ask for prices, so you're not surprised.

All of Green Lanes has numerous independent grocers which are open 24 hours a day. There's also a huge Sainsbury's supermarket, clothes shops and more. It's not a full mall, but for that you can go to Wood Green shopping centre for a full selection.
