Traditional Swedish food, very well prepared. Seasonal produce. Reasonable prices. The restaurant is on the 1st floor, and in the basement there is a great pub with very good pub food.

Great fish restaurant. Located on a small island (holme). Only accessible by boat. They provide transport from Bryggen. An overall great experience, highly recommended.

They also run the place called Blom, on Nygårdshøyden.

The best place to be in Bergen on a sunny day. Good food and good beer. Verftet also houses several local artists, and has a lively concert scene. Lots of people come here to go swimming and hang out in the summer. We also love sitting inside looking out on the fjord on rainy days.

Bryggen is still in active use, and houses offices, workshops, shops, cafes and restaurants. We often go to the cafe Bastant in one of the small alleys. A great way to visit a World Heritage site
