Exceptional lake views and service. A great experience. Also you can valet park for free - just hand the valet a $5 tip when they bring your car around and make their day. (Have the hostess call on your way out to have your car ready).

This is a one-of-a-kind experience because the whole restaurant floats on the lake. You get there by walking a bridge or by boat. $$$ but worth it. Get reservations on the outside deck if you can.

A quick drive out of town, and a good set of legs and lungs, and you can be walking a ridge line among eagles and osprey with the lake at your feet.

Sightseeing

Ahhhh, lovely Lake Coeur d'Alene. See it any way you can, in any weather. Its reputation as one of the prettiest lakes in the world is well-deserved. Get out on the lake with a cruise with Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises, or rent your own boat from Hagadone Marine right on the waterfront. Other local vendors will tow and launch a boat for you. Great views of the lake from Tubbs Hill and the Centennial Trail, and public swimming/paddling areas at Coeur d'Alene City Beach, Sanders Beach and Cougar Bay.

Arts & Culture

Get a sense of Coeur d'Alene history as a camping place, trading post, military fort, timber and mining town, and now a tourism mecca. The lake has many sunken steamships and some of the artifacts are on display here.
