I thought they were crazy when Spice Me opened--why would we need a third Thai restaurant in this small town? Now, several years later, they're the only one left standing! A 10-minute walk away down Kelly Ave.

For breakfast I recommend Taste Cafe--from crepes to chilaquiles to waffles to eggs Benedict, you can't go wrong. Located next to U.S. Bank in the Strawflower Shopping Center, less than 1 mile north on Hwy. 1.

You don't have to drive to Muir Woods to see beautiful redwoods; you can enjoy the peace and beauty of this preserve, just 15 minutes away. Parking is extremely limited (especially on weekends) so go early in the morning (before 9) if possible. Also, cell coverage may be spotty.

You don't have to drive to Muir Woods to see beautiful redwoods; you can enjoy the peace and beauty of this preserve, just 15 minutes away. Parking is extremely limited (especially on weekends) so go early in the morning (before 9) if possible. Also, cell coverage may be spotty.
It's a bit of a drive south on Hwy. 1 along the coast, but you'll be rewarded with a unique experience. For much of the year, the beach hosts up to 10,000 elephant seals. See their website for details; at some times of the year appointments are required.
